Pricing Strategy
Requested by a hotel executive to develop pricing strategy for his hotel. Collected hotel’s historic daily occupancy and average pricing data. Visualized occupancy trend and seasonality. Modeled occupancy based on various attributes like view, access to hotel club, floor, free mini bar, guest smart phone, cancellation etc. Obtained surprising results that some factors were more important than others. Helped the owner of the hotel to make analytically informed pricing strategy instead of a gut based one.
